We've added documentation on how to achieve this with a DataSource Custom Field on Products.
We decided to leave this as a Custom Field, rather than building a Standard Field that locked in to 1 specific type of related item. This way you can choose to set up links such as 'Related Blog Posts' or 'Related Products' or 'Related WebApp1 items' to your Products.

      Matt Walter: Hi Matt,
Thanks for the link to the document with a workaround to get this implemented.
I think the team here would still appreciate it becoming a Standard Field for eCommerce as it takes extra build time to implement each time on a new site when using the workaround. Is there any chance that this can be reviewed at all please? It is quite a standard feature on all other eCommerce platforms.
      Thanks,
      Jayne

Jayne Cooter: Thanks for the feedback. I'll move this back to review, and we may well add this field in as standard. Doing so won't be high priority on the eCommerce feature list, as we've enabled you to do it yourselves. Instead we'll remain focused on features that cannot easily be custom built right now.
