Currently lists in Studio have a name, ID and then their list of items. Items can have as many fields as they like already, but this idea would let you add metadata fields to the list next to the list’s name. To be clear, these fields would only be able to have one set of data.This can be helpful when looping over the lists to build complex HTML structures like tabs or menus. The metadata should be accessible in Liquid to help set classes, data-attributes and logic patterns when building the HTML.

Currently site search results need different fields to output say meta_desc for webapps then they do for pages. Let’s give an alternative mapping which means same syntax for both types of results for newer sites, also preserving the backwards compatible existing fields.

Add a field which primarily allows the user to select an icon from a list of named icons. On the Liquid side, this will insert the needed HTML inside the section, plus add the icon name to a manifest. Using tree-shaking, only the icons on the manifest will be imported into the page in the browser, for best-practice performance. Studio now allows us to organise our sections in grids that are no longer a strictly vertical stack of sections, but can have more interesting grids. This task is to re-write the preview mode HTML boilerplate so that it has many of the same features like section names, without putting a parent element around a section which affects how it behaves as a grid child element. Tip: perhaps we can use anchor positioning or pseudo elements.

I can't close the fonts modal in theme area

Currently if a file is mistakenly created with a missing folder name and the physical file path contains double forward slash, it can stop CLI pull commands from working. It would be better to skip these files as we do for other invalid files.

Follow up to dependency @Image title and alt tags Phase 2: update global fields to allow adding additional metadata fields on top of the built-in ones like alt from previous task. Allow the agency to add a metadata field (of any reasonable type) to a specific image (or any other type) global field e.g. adding a caption field metadata field. When defining field metadata fields, you can add helper text to describe how they should be used. AI would be able to look at the global field definition to understand any metadata fields which were added. Metadata fields appear for client when adding data below the main field, and show helper text if defined.

Previously you would only have one payment gateway “enabled” at a time, but now you can have more than one payment gateway enabled at once, so long as you add an ID parameter within the form layout to the eCommerce field include. But it can be tricky to migrate a setup which has only one payment gateway enabled to 2 in order to set up a test mode for developers while the site is live. When two payment gateways are enabled at once, before ID parameter is passed in, it’s not easy to tell which will be used be default. Adding a true default option to payment gateways could solve this, to use the production one by default in most cases, but allow devs to test with sandbox when needed.

The File manager could use an update to be in line with the modern experience of similar tools customers are touching every day. This is important, because whether using Core Siteglide or Studio, you’re asking the customer to interact with File Manager. Suggested improvements: 1) Progress indicator - you can’t currently see anything other than the spinner, and it would be good to be able to see how far along an upload is. 2) Clear labeling of limits - if I can’t upload a certain size, let me know3) Studio picker - let me define the folder that I should see once I click the picker, vs making the customer navigate to it4) Navigation - Once I upload a file, it’s in there, but I have to search for it to find it and select it. Bug Report: Product Category Selection Not Displayed After Saving

Sid is useful for creating sections and editing content but it should work like Cursor/Claude having access to the entire codebase and being able to build anything.A full right hand sidebar for Sid that can be opened/closed anywhere within Siteglide and can answer questions or follow prompts to build functionality. It needs to be agentic to handle multiple tasks and be able to run checks that everything is working correctly.

Add Sid to the Libraries area of Studio so that the whole design of the site can be updated by AI. Ability to give it a <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="link" href="http://design.md">design.md</a> file and examples but it still keep the StudioKit (or current library) best practice and things like animations. Simply update the theme (colours, fonts, tailwind variables, custom css etc), settings (head, scripts etc) and sections (create new sections or copy/update existing).
