WebApp/Module Rich Text - Mnimum support for background images

I understand it would be too difficult to support background images so they show and can be edited in rich text - not requesting that. I would like the background images to be ignored while the text around them is changed.

I did come across a situation though where background images were added to a field and then it subsequently became a rich text field.
