Bug Report: Product Category Selection Not Displayed After Saving

Summary When a product is assigned to a category using the Category tab and the product is saved, the assigned category is no longer shown as selected when the product is reopened. Steps to Reproduce Navigate to CMS → Category. Open the category structure and select Lighting and Electrical. Open the first product in the category list (for example, SKU 51175). Open the Category tab for the product and assign Lighting and Electrical as its category (if it is not already assigned). Save the product. Close the product and reopen SKU 51175. Return to the Category tab. Expected Result The Lighting and Electrical category should still be displayed as selected, indicating that the product is assigned to that category. Actual Result The Lighting and Electrical category is not shown as selected, even though the product appears within the Lighting and Electrical category listing. Note: The category assignment appears to have been saved correctly, as the product is still listed under the Lighting and Electrical category. The issue appears to be that the Category tab does not reflect the saved selection. Screenshots

Siteglide Dashboard Main Menu

When the left hand menu is closed and you want to look at your list of WebApps, if there's a lot of Webapps you can't see them all and can't scroll. Only noticed as Disco has so many webapps! Opening the menu allows you to scroll them so not urgent but a nice to have. Short video demonstrating - https://somup.com/cOfoQFVc8yS

Better Error Handling for failed Module Installs / Updates

Currently Module installs often terminate without properly informing the user with an error message. Could we add better error handling, or even better, automatic retries?

Siteglide CLI - Syncing a file with empty metadata object, causes sync to silently fail

--- metadata: --- Syncing a file like this appears to work, but checking GraphQL the sync is not successful and the update has not been applied. E.g. if previously there was metadata and you intended to delete it, the change would not be applied. We should check yml validation and check a) that this is allowed b) that a validation error throws a sync error properly.

Siteglide CLI - When pulling, skip files with a physical file path containing //

Currently if a file is mistakenly created with a missing folder name and the physical file path contains double forward slash, it can stop CLI pull commands from working. It would be better to skip these files as we do for other invalid files.

Changing URL in Portal won't save

The command shows as having an extra full stop in the URL and the new URL won’t save, maybe that’s why

Validation on name/slug for Site Create from Template error

Trying to create a site from a template failed - it looks like it’s a lack of validation to check if the name/URL already exists.

Thumbnail placeholder fallback for Image array

It’s very handy to be able to insert videos into the Image Array field but they don’t have a thumbnail so could there please be a fallback placeholder image. Ideally the filename would also be shown below/above the image so it’s readable.

CSV Import - Support for UTF-8 characters in sheets exported from Google Sheets

As far as I understand, Google Sheets always exports CSV as UTF-8 but without the BOM (byte-order-mark) used by applications like Microsoft Excel (and apparently Siteglide import indirectly, though whatever library is used) as an unofficial instruction about the encoding used (not in the CSV spec though). This means if you have a sheet containing a latin character like: é Exporting from Google Sheets and then importing to a webapp/module in Siteglide will mess up the encoding of that character. This is even if the sheet was originally exported from Siteglide and imported into Google Sheets. This doesn’t happen if Microsoft Excel is used instead of Google Sheets. A workaround is to after export from Google Sheets, use Microsoft Excel to import as CSV and re-save as UTF-8. It is possible that a workaround is also available using a simple text editor: https://support.google.com/docs/thread/160652357?hl=en&msgid=160669538 However, it would be best if Siteglide could have an option (or an automatic catch) for when importing from Google Sheets which makes the BOM unnecessary. This is somewhere between a bug and an improvement, since the weakness lies in the CSV spec, but the solution can only be with Siteglide. Reported by WSI Emagination

User Role not Updating

I’ve changed the User Role for two FACT users Lendy Lopez and Anthony Cameli to Client Restricted(3) but the listing continues to show them as Client(2) although when clicking into the detail only Client Restricted(3) is chosen.
